Maiwenn Kersaudy-Kerhoas

Biography:

Dr. Maiwenn Kersaudy-Kerhoas is a an Associate Professor at Heriot-Watt University . She received her PhD in the area of Microengineering at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. In 2015, she joined as an honorary fellow, the Division of Infection and Pathway Medicine (DIPM), at the College of Medicine, University of Edinburgh where her research group is currently based.  From 2015 to 2017 she was part of the early career forum in manufacturing research at the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Council (EPSRC). In 2018 she was recipient of a £1.3M EPSRC Healthcare Technologies Challenge Award.

The rapid translation of research from bench to bedside, as well as the generation of commercial impact, has never been more important for both academic and industrial researchers. Our lab proposes low-capital investment and sustainable rapid-prototyping solutions for almost all LOAC applications, with potential to accelerate microfluidic research and technology acceptance dramatically.
