Dr. Nikolaos Lempesis is a Senior Research Associate at the laboratory of Computational Chemistry and Biochemistry in the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) He holds two bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Engineering and a master’s degree in Materials Science followed by a Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry. He has substantial research and academic experience in some of the top technological institutes of the world involving Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the Technical University in Munich (TUM). His research lies at the intersection of Chemical Engineering, Computational Chemistry and Materials Science, seeking ways to develop, apply and advance state-of-the-art simulation, modeling and mathematical techniques to research new materials and tackle every-day problems.
